Hi--I am wanting to work overseas and was wondering if anyone had any feedback about their own travels??

At this stage I'm not sold on any one destination, although not sure if I'm keen to work in the UAE.

Any tips, recommended agencies, do, don'ts MUCH appreciated!!! Thanks ^-^

Hi, I have just returned to Australia from spending 5 years in London working as an Paediatric Agency Nurse for an agency called Pulse. They are the biggest nursing agency in London, always had heaps of work and it seems I was always working with a bunch of Aussies/Kiwis. I loved it, worked at hospitals such as Great Ormond St gained lots lots of experience and travelled Europe as well in between working. I contacted them in Sydney before I left, so by the time I got there everything was easy and done. I wish you all the best - I think its a great opportunity and especially with the amount of travelling I did as well. Good luck!

Thanks so much, this was exactly what I was looking for! I have been slowly checking out various agencies, but it's so hard to tell what they're REALLY like from their own websites, so thanks for taking the time to answer. That's exactly what I want to do...work and travel around lots. Can I ask what sort of visa you had? I mean, do you have any British family/British passport to be away so long? Thanks!

Glad to help :) I intially went over on a working holiday visa (2 year one) and then went for a highly skilled visa. They keep changing the visa's apparently so I would check all this out, I am sure Pulse will help you with that as well. All the best!

I know a Perth based MO who spends 8 mths a year in U A E. Then trips Europe, UK and Ireland + + and back home..this lasts 18 mths. He then does another 8 mths in U A E. LOVES the US $ pay!!!

I do know it can be demanding for female gender however so may UK nurses love it and go places of their dreams.

I spent time in Egypt.Full of History, great foods, leather goods to die-for, warm people and stacks to see, do and one thing is...

..'show respect for dress codes..guys don't get around in thongs and shorts ok!
