'Continuum' suggests 'ongoing' and is the basis of a physicis and advanced maths area of work.

Are u looking at kidney function alone or in conjunction with/nutrition/normal osmatic cells functioning in the organs/overall body mass/equalibrium that has to be maintained between sodium and potasium.

Results of FBC tests/toilet reports/stool evidence vs food intake. Does there exist an electrolyte balance?

This may well be totally out of the area but open for comment ok.
