I've recently taken on a CNE role and I've found that too. I've thought about approaching the College of Nursing, but was wondering whether running an in-house one week workshop might be better. If you are in a similar position then maybe we should approach the College of Nursing together???

No it would agree - I don't think I've ever seen a gynae-specific course. Midwifery focuses on early pregnancy and female anatomy but specifically in pregnancy. I suspect Urology would cover non-pregnancy issues and generally you have to do an adolescent specific course for adolescents! I guess you should check around the different post-grad courses offered by the different uni's. You can always suggest to the College of nursing that such a course would be useful. They take suggestions such as that, or have you tried googling gynae-courses? I think they do have them in the USA not that I'm suggesting you go there! Idea

Is it just me or is there a severe lack of specialised gynaecology nursing education available in australia? Does anyone know of any courses other than the Family planning courses? I'm thinking more laparoscopic surgery, bladder care, early pregnancy management and adolescents. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
