I think it is great that nurses can work in other countries. I certainly did when I was younger. I worked in the UK for 12 months. SBig  Smile

I worked in South Africa for about 12 years,Operating Theatres and mostly Community Health,which entails Preventative and Curative Health Services.It involved Health Education in Health Promotion,esp mother and child Health (mothercraft,postnatal checks,developmental screening of young children,immunisation,diagnosing illnesses in sick children,referrals and treatment of same)

The list is endless.Treatment of sick adults with TB,STI's,couselling of HIV patients and testing,PAP SMEARS treatment and refferal,Family Planning and most enjoyably working with the adolescants- teaching choices and lifeskills.It sounds like too much but the work was extremely rewardingBig  Smile
