Dear Nathan,
Sorry about the Caps sometimes I am in such a hurry to get my thoughts down. The long and short of it is I am totally passionate about Aged Care.I want to see a fair deal for residents and staff alike.
Aged Care is under immense pressure at the moment.Staff want to provide Quality Care which is difficult to do when you have not got enough staff on the floor. My favourite saying at the moment is we are like a piece of elastic you can only stretch us so far before we snap.I am fortunate to work with wonderful colleagues who encourage and support me .Mostof all I really do love the direction I am going the journey is full of twists and turns but never boring

Dear Illawarrior (Linda)
Your input on nurse uncut is very interesting and i love your opinions but would you consider to stop using your caps lock capitols all the time. we all know you work in a 120 bed aged care facility but the use of capitols all the time is really annoying as it is supposed to be used for when you are yelling or making a strong point. Could you try doing some entries without the capitol letters and keep up the fantastic input you always bring to the plight of aged care nursing.

Yes you are right people dont seem to want to give up their own time. All we can hope is that those of us who are still interested will be able to keep encouraging the others.

It does seem to be a problem. The NSW Pain Interest group used to have 4 evening work shops a year but numbers dwindeled and so we changed tact. We now concentrate on one full day conference and seem to get good attendence of about 120. I think not as many people want to come to things in their own time.

Anyone got any ideas on how we can get more STAFF working in AGED CARE to attend WORKSHOPS and FORUMS.I have attended quite a lot of them and found them to be very useful.Be glad of any ideas.
