Hi,

i am having similar issues. over 3 months and still not registered and there are plenty of people who are waiting. unfortunatly if, like me, if you didnt enter new graduate program you are unable to obtain work as a registered nurse until you are registered AHPRA and even if you are in the new graduate program you are paid as an AIN until your registration comes through. the application fee was taken by AHPRA as soon as they received my application though. i am sure they are not going to compensate me for the time i could have been registered and in the workforce, and what use is backdating a registration if i am unable to work during that time anyway.

I paid my registration at the beginning of December having received no paperwork from APHRA. I received no receipt fot taxation purposes and only receive my certificate yesterday dated January 27th! I predicted the backlogs and APHRA's inability to efficiently transistion from state boards. Registering us all in the same month will mean you cannot make contact with them during May every years. The system was better when we registered on our anniversary. That way the workload was spread across the year and manageable. Blind Freddie can see how crazy it is to limit all practitioners to register at the same time = chaos!

Is anyone else having problems getting their paperwork for re registration processed with AHPRA?  I filled in my forms and sent my money off nearly 3 MONTHS ago and it still hasn't been processed!  I have emailled 3 times and rung them twice (you have to wait on the phone for AGES!!) and I keep getting told the same old story ie that there is a back log and that we all have 1 month's grace on our registration date.  My one month's grace will be up in a couple of days and I don't know what to do next.  Suggestions anyone?
