Hi Ness, Sounds like you are on the right track. It really is that simple. Heaps of literature out there. There are dozens of texts books on nursing process and interventions. This is a little light weight subject for Journals but the Nursing Times and a few others have specific management papers and CPD scholalry articles on nursing interventions. If you look up the Harford online series and Medscape you can find more information and the Joanna Briggs Institute has release lots of information on specific nursing interventions that are based on systematic evidence. If you are having trouble looking for Journals speak to the librarian they are great to assist and always check who the other Journals have referenced. Make sure they are up to date. Good luck

Hi im in my second year of nursing and im unsure on what is meant by nursing interventions? I have an essay to do on Gastro in a 2yr old and it is playing with my head as to what it means. I have asked the teacher and that wasnt very much help, not once have we discussed what it means.

My understanding is what am I as a nurse going to do to care for the pt, so is it things like

1) Watch for signs of dehydration

2) Fluid balance chart

And if Im on the right track, now im supposed to be able to find journal articles to back me up...I have to say it is not easy to find journals (maybe its just me)??

Any help or suggestions would be very helpful as I want to have an understanding of what it means
