Well - it has let me start a thread under introduactions - that's an improvement. Now I just have to fight to allow rotation of the captcha thingy, though I find it crazy using it, as I have never come across a single other forum that requires something like that once a user is verified.
My issue is that my sight is poor, even with my contact lenses and it ain't going to get better. I always have some degree of shadow or blurring and in some cases the captcha code is just not legible for me. So - for those of us who are visually challenged, there needs to be a better solution. |

Yes, but just a little more effort from you, in removing it ASAP, would mostly likely deter the common re-offenders. |

So sorry to hear about all the difficulties you faced with the use of the forum, Alice. We had to enable to captcha code because of the number of the spam the site has been getting. Cheers, Christine |

OK - wow! that's the first time ever something I've posted has actually shown up!
Now I wish to point out that not everyone has equal visual acuity. Thanks to my keratoconas my vision always has a blurring shadow. this makes little security codes with a line through them a pain for me to try and see. When you decide to be more user-friendly, allow my thread starter posts to show up without penalising me for being a first time poster or whatever, and when you at least make it possible to change the security code if you are going to insist on having something like that (never seen one on a forum anywhere before, but hey - you're nurses, not techno-boffs), maybe I'll come back. Until then this remains one of the most un-user-firendly forums I have ever come across and that's saying something! It's taken 2 years for something I've posted to actually pitch up in the feed! |

no option to change the security thingy if the line makes a letter/number illegible? this forum remains bloody hopeless! |

Well, I'm no longer getting the Error 404 message, and my avatar finally uploaded, so I guess some of the bugs have been ironed out. |

I know just how you feel, but this site is all we have and we wait forever at work to get anything done so for something which will benifit us I am sure we can wait.
Please NU_Editor can you give us some sort of time frame.... as I was disappointed to see that my posts from the old web site were not attributed to me either but to 'Nurse Uncut'. |

The site won't let me upload an avatar, I keep getting Error 404 every time I log in. Heck, I can't even use a topic icon to precede this post.
And old posts of mine are attributed to 'Nurse Uncut', whoever that may be. I guess I'll be back when the bugs are ironed out. |
