You always need another piece of paper! You also need to have contacts in the area you want to work. A sad reality

Karnakay I suppose it depends on what level of education and training you wish to get into. I have a undergraduate degree, a postgrad degree, a cert IV, a Masters in nursing and I still had to enrol in a masters of education to get a educator job!

I am an ASSISTANT IN NURSING in a 120 bed facility.Quite often we have students I have asked through work about doing a course such as CERT 4 in training not getting anywhere with it .Good luck with your search.Big Smile

I've >20 years clinical experience; am >50 yrs old - have hospital - based nursing & midwifery converted to a Bachelor's in 2000; a Diploma in Frontline Management and Cert IV in TAA - do I really need ANOTHER piece of paper to get into the education side of nursing?
