I'm currently studying my post-grad in health services management, and scanning the job ads for any opportunity to get my management foot in the door.

My current workplace is very clique-y, and I would never be given the chance to fill for the NUM when they go on leave.

The problem is that, despite making good progress in my study I have so far been unable to find any opportunity to gain hands on experience in any management role because every position lists under its essential skills previous 'extensive' experience in a managerial role.

I'm hoping the nurse managers out there have some advice for me....
