For those that missed my intro...I'm Natasha a first year nursing student (mature aged)
A few days ago I took my 3 year old in to get a flu shot and the GP checked her out and passed us over to the nurse who gave my DD her shot.
She gave the wrong one, and I know we all make mistakes but the issue I was concerned with was she took the needle out of DD, and stuck it into the hospital bed mattress we were sitting on, turned around to get some tape, took the needle out the mattress and disposed of it in the sharps bin.
Is my head so far up my butt that I have an issue over this?
I know we are taught "best practice" but is it normal for those type of shortcuts/practices to happen?
