We’d like to hear from former midwives about why they left the profession.
According to last year’s Australian survey of nurses’ and midwives’ workplace wellbeing, 32% indicated they’ve considered leaving the profession and 25 percent reported they were either likely or very likely to leave the profession.
From the outside, many consider midwifery a dream job, full of the joys of helping bring new life into the world. But every job has its stresses and midwives do leave the profession.
Nurse Uncut has been contacted by a journalist who wants to speak to former midwives about their reasons for leaving.
If you’re a former midwife or have friends or former colleagues who are, leave a comment below or get in touch with us through our contact form. We’d like to hear your story!
