Occupational health and safety essentials for nurses

Occupational_Health_and_Safety_Essentials_for_Nurses

The NSW Nurses Association’s OHS focus is on the prevention of injuries and the fair and equitable treatment of nurses who do get injured at work or develop a work-related illness.

Nurses have the right to work in an environment that does not threaten their health, safety or welfare and NSWNA will do everything in its power to protect and enforce this right.
NSWNA provides members with up-to-date advice on OHS issues, current and emerging (eg. manual handling, violence, latex, legislative changes) and also works with employers and government to develop protective legislation and policies.

NSWNA employs professional OHS officers with considerable experience and commitment to OHS. The Lamp, the official journal of NSWNA, regularly features articles on topical OHS issues.
