Royal Wedding fever is griping the Commonwealth.
In just a few hours Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton will tie the knot at Westminster Abbey with billions watching from around the world.
Royal wedding fever is everywhere you look, people are hosting high tea ‘tea parties’, dress-like-a-royal parties, and British themed dinner parties in their living rooms while waiting for the much-anticipated arrival of the princess-to-be at 11am today (London time).
Hundreds of fans are have been camped out alongside the procession route for days waiting for a glimpse of the wedding procession. Hawkers are selling everything from coins, cups, tea trays, ashtrays, shot glasses, flags, thimbles, key rings, even ‘kiss me Kate’ beer and even royal wedding sick bags.
Souvenir purchases will add to the expected $1 billion tourism and retail boost.
For the first time ever, The British Monarchy is embracing the internet and social media, with the wedding to be streamed live on its own YouTube channel, and covered through its Facebook page, Twitter, Flickr album, and official website.
Will you watch the Royal Wedding? What are you most looking forward to seeing?

I was working when they married but watched th re-run the next day with the clients from my unit – I thought it was lovely the bride and groom looked so comfortable together – the only thing I could not understand was the media constantly comparing a lovely modern woman to a dead woman – they were worlds apart – the new bride is educated and comfortable in herself where the picture of the mother of the groom was all about me! You could see it in the way she posed for her wedding photo – not that is anything wrong in that – we all have someone like that is our families – the point I am trying for is it is a mistake to compare 2 women from different backgrounds and different generations. The grooms mother may have had an input in her sons’s early lives but please do not forget – after she had gone there were other people involved as well so to constantly hear comments about her were very off putting. Congratulations to thhe lucky couple.
