Aged care nurses: perceptions of handrail use

Nicole Swan writes: As an Occupational Therapy Honours student at Deakin University (Geelong, Victoria), I am seeking to explore the perceptions of staff who work in aged care facilities on the value and use of handrails in corridors.

Results from this study will help contribute to the improved design of aged care facilities, direct future practice in this field and promote independence and safety of users in aged care.
