Nurses, aged care workers and a teacher appear in a GetUp ad urging Wayne Swan to use the next Budget to put money into the public health system, aged care and education rather than into the pockets of billionaires. If you agree, you can contribute even a small amount to help get this ad on air.

Wayne Swan is making critical decisions over the next couple of weeks in an attempt to reach a budget surplus. By his own words, the choice between continuing to give freebies to mining magnates vs. standing up for workers should be clear.

Nurses, aged-care workers and teachers like Janice, Michelle, Inge and Clare are sick of their tax dollars going to prop up billionaire mining magnates and are asking Swan to put our money where his mouth is.

  1. I would like to know who to state my concerns to regarding a very serious problem at an aged care facility I work at. The new Hostel Manager at this site has never worked in aged care before. She is dishonest and manipulates staff against staff giving information to them discussed in performance appraisals. She has also told residents confidential information from those meetings and requested one resident she as a unprofessional close bond with to rate staff on who is best to who is the worst staff member so she can put them into higher or lower grade. I have discussed this behavior with her but she denies all and continues to do the same.
