Due to the lack of a constructive offer from the Government and NSW Health ACTION WILL BE TAKEN in the New Year!
NSWNA Council has decided that beds and services in the NSW health system (closed by management for the scheduled December 2010 – January 2011 close down) will not be opened in January and February 2011.
This measure is part of our One2four Action Plan of bed closures and service restrictions. The Council’s decision is consistent with a resolution carried by the Special General Meeting of Members at Sydney Olympic Park on 24 November.
General Secretary Brett Holmes says no meaningful progress towards an acceptable offer around ratios has taken place in over two weeks of intense negotiations with NSW Health.
What can you do?
- Keep applying the political pressure
- Your local state Government MP needs to keep hearing that nurses and midwives are passionate and committed to safer patient care.
- Please keep telling your friends and family to register their support on the website one2four.com.au and write to their local MP about how important this is for the voting public of NSW.
What action have you taken?
