Applications are now open for the Unions NSW Union Summer 2020 Internship Program.
Union Summer is a three-week program run by Unions NSW in conjunction with participating unions and runs from Tuesday 28 January through to Friday 14 February 2020. Successful applicants are placed with a union and gain first-hand experience of how unions work.
Nursing and midwifery students, here is your opportunity to spend 3 weeks at your union, the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA).
Who should apply?
If you are:
- Passionate about the rights and conditions of nurses and midwives
- A keen follower of social justice issues
- Enthusiastic about recruitment of new nurses and midwives to the union
- Want to learn more about how your union works
Then this program is for you – we invite you to apply for the 2020 Union Summer Internship Program.
All interns will be paid at the minimum adult wage for the duration of the internship program including superannuation contributions.
Previous Union Summer Interns have gone on to work for the NSWNMA or become activists in their workplace. The experience is a great opportunity, watch this short video from previous participants.
