Donors who are union members can join Club Red and register to win one of four iPhones donated by First State Super.
Unions for Transfusions will be launched today (Monday, 2 April) at 10.30am in the Atrium at Unions NSW in Sydney.
The new blood donation campaign aims to encourage unionists to give blood, especially to meet the increased need over Easter and other public holiday periods. The Red Cross Blood Service is concerned that donor numbers drop as people take holidays, at the same time as the need for blood rises in response to road accidents over the holiday period.
But the Unions for Transfusions campaign will not stop there – it will continue, with events across the state in the coming months to encourage donations from the union community.
To give blood under the Unions for Transfusions banner, join Club Red to register your donations and register for a prize* – four top-of-the-range iPhones have been donated by First State Super and one will be drawn every three months.

Do you donate blood regularly? Would you consider doing so this year?
